First a bigger iPhone. Now, a bigger iPad?

Bigger is better, at least, that's what it seems like Apple is thinking.

Rumours abound of a monster-sized iPad slated for next year. We're talking a humongous jump from a 10-inch and 7.9-inch to a 12.9-inch screen.

That's just 0.1 inches shorter than the biggest Macbook Air or smallest Macbook Pro. That we can even compare it to laptops is just crazy, we know.

Bloomberg reported that production is scheduled to start by the first quarter of 2015.

These rumours comes on the back of talk of an up-sized iPhone 6. It will supposedly come in two versions - 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches in length - compared to the current 4.87 inches iPhone 5s.

Time reported that the bigger devices are meant to fight off competition from Google and Samsung.
