Hundreds turn up outside a boy's home for free concert
Dylan Spoering, 8, put up two simple, small signs on his front yard promoting a free concert.
Written in black, it said: "Free concert by Dylan Spoering" on one sign and July 12 on the next.
But he never expected the turnout on the day of his concert.
Dylan's neighbour, a local musician Thomas Rehbein, saw the sign and put it up online as a Facebook event.
On July 12, more than a hundred people turned up to see him perform outside his home in Minnesota.
Even the heavy downpour couldn't keep these "fans" away.
He even expertly charmed the crowd. Looking at them, he asked: "How long do you think I've been practicing?"
Someone in the audience answered 15 years.
"I'm only eight," responded Dylan coyly.
He even gave the concert attendees cookies. If only superstars followed Dylan's example and treated fans like this.
The enthusiastic crowd even came prepared with posters!
The event was streamed live on Ustream, which was watched by nearly 10,000 people worldwide.
Not bad for a first gig Dylan.
