Jackie Jackson gets teary-eyed over brother's hologram performance
Michael Jackson's brother Jackie thought the hologram performance at the Billboard Music Awards was "amazing".
Michael Jackson's brother cried as he watched his hologram performance.
Jackie Jackson said choreographers Rich and Tone Talauega did an ''amazing'' job in making the virtual likeness of the late star - who died of Propofol intoxication in June 2009 - so convincing as he performed to Slave to Rhythm at Sunday night's (18 May) Billboard Music Awards.
Jackie told Billboard: "When he started walking and dancing, I was teary-eyed...It's hard to please Michael's fans and Michael... I'm telling you it's amazing."
There had been a huge demand for a hologram performance from the late King of Pop, but John Branca, the executor of the late star's estate, felt the music awards show was the perfect setting to do so.
He said: "It's so important to experience Michael Jackson in a live setting... We wanted live performance in front of a live audience and nothing speaks to that more than an awards show."
