This month, Aqua Luna (Park Hotel Alexandra, Tel: 6828-8885) offers two local favourites in a $38 set: Two Singapore Slings and a Chilli Crab flatbread featuring housemade chilli crab sauce and blue swimmer crab.

This is available Sunday to Thursday from 1pm to 11pm, and 1pm to 1am on Friday and Saturday.

From Aug 6 to 9, at Kitchenette (Goldhill Plaza, #01-11, Tel: 6352-7484), Mu Parlour (16A Lorong Mambong, Tel: 6466-9336) and Spathe Public House (8 Mohamed Sultan Road, Tel: 6735-1035), order the National Day Waffles ($7.84) to celebrate National Day. It comes with blackberries, strawberries, vanilla ice cream, red velvet cake crumbs and pistachio. Pair it with the Red Velvet Shake ($5.88) made of red velvet and vanilla ice cream.

For Singapore's 51st birthday, Jamie's Italian (VivoCity #01-165, Tel: 6733-5500; Forum #01-01, Tel: 6655-7676) offers a twist on chilli crab ($58) with wok-fried Sri Lankan crab paired with a spicy chilli sauce. The dish will be accompanied with focaccia bread in place of the traditional mantou.
