Singapore top city in the world for comfort travelling alone

Singapore is number one for comfort travelling alone and second for taxi service, cleanliness of streets, ease of getting around and family-friendliness.

The result came after an annual city survey by TripAdvisor.

The travel website collated the opinion of about 54,000 travellers to the top 37 urban tourist destinations around the world, UK daily The Independent reported.

Despite its rich history and the big role it plays in world politics, Moscow was voted the worst city to go to.

Those planning to visit the Russian capital should expect unfriendly locals, awful hotels among others.​

Mumbai was actually voted the worst city for overall experience​, despite only coming last on clean streets and ease of getting around — clearly categories which weigh highly on the minds of reviewers.

Rome topped the list of things to do and culture; and Dubai, first for shopping and hotels.
