Time to up your selfie game: Watch out for elfies, bumpies and crazy selfies
Duck faces and Paris Hilton angles are now a thing of the past.
Yes, folks, it's time to up your game especially now that taking a selfie is so common that it was just included in the Merriam-Webster dictionary two weeks ago.
If you need some tips, look no further. We bring you the new world of elfies, bumpies and crazy selfies.
1. Crazy Selfie
Think a mediocre selfie with the Jesus Christ the Redeemer statue will do the trick? Think again.
Lee Thompson dramatically ups the stake by climbing up the statue and then taking a photo atop the statue. Now, that's crazie(get it?)!
He and his colleague had to ask the Brazil Tourism Board for permission to make the precarious climb so this is truly a one-of-a-kind shot.
Check out the crazy vertigo-inducing video above. (Those with a fear of heights, you have been warned).
2. Elfie
Think you're lucky if you get a decent shot of an elephant in the background during your visit to the zoo? Think again.
Now, there's the 'elfie'.
A visitor to the West Midlands Safari Park was hoping to get a selfie with one of the elephants when he dropped his phone into the enclosure.
He was ordered to stay in his vehicle and was only allowed to retrieve the phone until later on.
And when he scrolled through the photos. He got something more than he had hoped for.
An elephant had taken a selfie of itself. Hence, the term 'elfie'.
P.S. I am not sure if it works with all animals so think twice before you 'drop' you phone in a lion enclosure.
3. Bumpie
Celebrities are trading their flat, taut tummies for their round, pregnant bellies. So why shouldn't you?
These celebs are all about being "Bumpin' and proud" (at least according to Jessica Simpson).
Jessica Simpson is even confident that the baby glow will make up for her #nomakeup bumpie. Good on you, Jess.
What's the perfect accessory to a pregnant belly? Model Stacey Keibler shows that it's clear the crocheted cropped top.
It's perfect for showing off your bundle of joy.
Olivia Wilde captioned this photo with: "Sure I've looked like this after Mexican food but this time it's a BABY. #almostcooked #nineweekstogo #holyfu&$."
Erm, if only we looked half as good with a food baby.
