Which cities have the dirtiest hotels? You'll be surprised
Tokyo has the cleanest hotels in the world.
Is anyone surprised?
But we certainly didn't expect to see cities like London, Paris and Amsterdam at the bottom of a list on hotel cleanliness.
The list, published on Monday by hotel booking website hotel.info, shows the ten best and worst cities in terms of hotel cleanliness, with results aggregated from the reviews of its six million customers.
Tokyo is tops, while guests were so impressed with runner-up Warsaw they said they could "eat their food from the floor".
At the bottom, we have Rio de Janeiro - confirming our fears that you can't have fun without making a mess.
What really surprised us, though, was London, Oslo, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Paris making up the rest of the top six.
Oh wait, we just remembered: Backpacking students.
