School of frock
Diane Kruger is back to claim her red carpet crown, in yet another sexy red dress no less
DIANE KRUGER (A-)
The Infiltrator premiere in New York City
Gown: Jason Wu
Clutch: Chanel
Kruger's red dress game is still going strong. She's been wearing all manner of crimson gowns lately, but this sheer lace halter version is my favourite so far.
NICOLE KIDMAN (B-)
Swisse promotional event in Shanghai
Gown: Valentino
The bandeau panel across her chest is off-putting, but let's not pretend Kidman wasn't born to be swathed in these ethereal ethnic embroidered nude frocks that Valentino just can't stop churning out.
KRISTEN STEWART (C-)
Cafe Society premiere in New York City
Dress: Chanel
This is what happens when you become a Chanel ambassador and thus a voiceless dress-up doll-slave of Karl Lagerfeld. Falconry couture, anyone?
ZENDAYA (D)
Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards in Los Angeles
Top and pants: Moschino
Not even a cutie clotheshorse like Zendaya can fashion a top out of a giant bow and not expect to be mistaken for a walking Christmas decoration. Do not open until... forever.
DASCHA POLANCO (F)
VH1's Hip Hop Honors: All Hail The Queens event in New York City
Catsuit and vest: Marco Hall
Nobody should be subject to a world in which showing off visible nude granny underwear in a see-through bodysuit is considered okay. We deserve better.
MOST IMPROVED
MELISSA MCCARTHY
It's been a challenge for McCarthy to make an impression on the red carpet, because she's normally buried under voluminous fabric or dowdy secretarial attire like this custom get-up by her go-to stylist Swartz. But all that changed when the duo finally found the perfect dress befitting McCarthy's movie star status - a '50s fit-and-flare silhouette, with sheer embroidered floral overlay, in a glorious shade of yellow. It's such a thrilling, triumphant "personal best" moment, it almost makes me want to cry.
Time 100 Gala in New York City, April 26

Ghostbusters premiere in Los Angeles, July 9
