We get it - the Internet is scary.
The unimaginatively named I.T. is yet another cautionary tale on the dangers of the digital age.
Mike Regan (Pierce Brosnan), a man with a perfect job, family, and life, invites I.T. guy Ed Porter (James Frecheville) into his family's lives, unwittingly opening them all up to a danger unlike anything they've experienced before.
The film is familiar, but not in a good way. The movie's twists can be seen light years ahead and the characters are so one-dimensional that they might as well be caricatures.
Brosnan barely manages to pull the film back from complete hopelessness with his charm, and the movie will owe any success it reaps to him and him alone.
