Final Divergent film still in limbo

US actress Shailene Woodley has come clean about her commitment to Ascendant, the fourth and final instalment of the Divergent film franchise.

It was reported that movie studio Lionsgate was disappointed by the box office performance of the last film, this year's Allegiant, and want to turn Ascendant into a TV movie.

The 24-year-old previously told E! News that she didn't sign up for a TV show, leading fans to believe she wasn't going to reprise her role as protagonist Tris Prior.

But Woodley recently said on the Today show it is not a done deal - yet.

"I'm not exactly sure where they stand, so we're kind of all in a limbo waiting game."

Ultimately, she hopes for a resolution that works for all parties.

She said: "I signed up to tell the whole story of Tris. I would love to be able to do that. Nothing would make me happier."

THE LAST WORD STARS SEYFRIED, SADOSKI ENGAGED

US actress Amanda Seyfried, 30, is engaged to US actor Thomas Sadoski, 40, her co-star in the US film The Last Word.

According to People magazine, the couple first met while working together on the off-Broadway show The Way We Get By last year, and began dating when they reunited on the set of The Last Word.

Seyfried dated English actor Dominic Cooper from 2008 to 2010 and US actor Justin Long from 2013 to 2015.

Sadoski was previously married to casting director Kimberly Hope, whom he divorced last October after eight years of marriage.
