Movie Review: Nocturnal Animals (M18)
Want a movie that leaves you thinking about it for days, just watch this.
Fashion designer Tom Ford has definitely brought his eye for art into this film, which was impeccably shot.
Based on Austin Wright's novel, Tony And Susan, it stars Amy Adams as Susan Morrow and Jake Gyllenhaal as Edward Sheffield.
Morrow is a successful art dealer in an unhappy marriage with her husband, Hutton Morrow (Armie Hammer), whom she suspects is cheating.
She receives a manuscript titled Nocturnal Animals from her ex-husband, Sheffield. The movie then switches to scenes from the book which Morrow is reading, where Gyllenhaal plays another character, Tony Hastings.
The alternating worlds between Morrow and Hastings just shows their lust for revenge and how much they creepily resemble each other.
