Movie Review: Pixels (PG)
What if Pac-Man, Galaga, Centipede and Donkey Kong decide to invade our world?
Well, Pixels certainly has a fun concept.
For those of us whose childhood was spent on these games, this comedy will rank high on nostalgia.
But that's about it, because this is an Adam Sandler movie after all.
That means we'll need to sit through a flick that celebrates his loser, man-child persona we've seen in all of his stuff.
He plays Sam Brenner, a one-time arcade king-turned-TV repairman who has to save the world from aliens.
The CGI is pretty nifty and co-stars Josh Gad and Peter Dinklage actually deliver the laughs, but even their dynamism gets swallowed up by Sandler's ego.
