Movie Review: Sing Street (PG13)
Director John Carney is on a roll.
The master behind musical favourites Once (2007) and Begin Again (2013) impresses again with this earnest homage to 80s music and youth.
Set in Dublin, Sing Street follows schoolboy Conor (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) as he forms a band and records music videos to impress an aspiring model (Lucy Boynton).
Sing Street's soundtrack is undeniably catchy and anyone who can appreciate anything retro will have the time of their lives.
The film also delivers an extra punch with its honest and relatable portrayal of young love and the struggles of adolescence.
This is easily one of the most memorable films of the year.
