Movie Review: Survivor
Like Bryce Dallas Howard in Jurassic World, Milla Jovovich spends almost all her screen time running in heels in this thriller.
But instead of fleeing from dinosaurs, she's mostly trying to outrun Pierce Brosnan.
She stars as security officer Kate Abbott, who works in the US embassy in London. When her colleagues are killed in a bomb blast, she gets caught in a terrorist scheme of the mysterious Watchmaker (Brosnan).
Jovovich is well used to playing the femme fatale in the Resident Evil franchise, and can certainly run, fight and outsmart her foes.
While it will keep you suitably entertained, Survivor doesn't really bring anything new to the genre. At least director James McTeigue (V For Vendetta, Ninja Assassin) moves the story along at a gripping pace.
