Spring Wave Music Festival off because of haze

The haze has claimed its first music festival.

In light of the worsening and persistent haze situation and in the interest of public health and safety, it was announced yesterday that this year's Spring Wave 2015 Music Festival, which was to take place on Oct 10 at Fort Canning Green, will be cancelled.

This year's lineup included Wubai and China Blue, Chang Chen-yue, Luantan Ascent and other Taiwanese rockers.

In a media statement, event organiser Friendly Dog Entertainment said it tried, but was unable to find a suitable indoor venue to host the Mandopop concert.

Those who have purchased tickets, priced at $138, for Spring Wave 2015 can get in touch with ticketing agents about refunds.
