A toddler in Washington, US helped to foil her babysitter's burglary attempt.

Four-year-old Abby's teenage babysitter had planned a fake home invasion with her 16-year-old boyfriend and another male suspect.

The 17-year-old babysitter then lied, saying two armed black men broke into the house. She also told police one of the men looked like the next door neighbour

So, police questioned the neighbour for hours.

But, knowing better, Abby, told police the intruders had white skin. And that was how the babysitter's story started falling apart and she eventually confessed to her scheme.

Fortunately for Abby, she managed to get all her belongings back because of her "being a superhero".

She told the local Detroit Fox news affiliate: "Wednesday was the worst day in my life."

The babysitter and her alleged accomplices were arrested and could face robbery, burglary and perjury charges.
