68-year-old man taken to hospital after being pushed
A 68-year-old man was pushed to the ground and taken to the hospital after a commotion with another man.
The incident occurred around 12.30am on March 19, on the roadside in front of Block 846 Yishun Ring Road.
A video posted online shows an elderly man shouting and approaching a man squatting nearby. He then snatched a plastic bag from the man's hand before being pushed in the chest.
The older man fell backward and lay on the ground while the other man continued squatting, packing his belongings.
Later, both men were seen sitting together before police officers arrived.
According to Lianhe Zaobao, the two men knew each other and had been drinking together before the argument began.
Mr Chen, 35, a resident of the HDB block opposite the scene, told reporters the man was sorting plastic bags when the older man provoked him.
The older man was seen using his phone after the fall and appeared to be uninjured.
"About eight police officers arrived, and an ambulance arrived with medical staff who examined the older man."
Another resident, Mr Tuan, 24, said he heard shouting through his headphones and later saw the older man entering the ambulance.
