77-year-old driver loses control of car, crashes into Katong cafe
A 77-year-old male driver accidentally crashed his car into a cafe at Poole Road in Katong after losing control of the vehicle at around 10.30am on May 4.
Shin Min Daily News reported that the area had been cordoned off. The floor tiles were cracked and there were still some glass shards on the ground.
A resident said that at the time of the incident, the driver was believed to be trying to park his car at the roadside.
However, he accidentally hit a rubbish bin outside a house and reversed the vehicle.
Shortly after, he lost control of the car and crashed directly into the cafe, where a male customer was sitting nearby.
"The driver of the car looked quite old, and the tow truck arrived very quickly afterwards," the resident said.

The police said the car was believed to have lost control and skidded.
A 77-year-old male driver and a 46-year-old man were conscious when taken to hospital.
The driver is assisting in the investigation.
