TikTok user @cheesysamyang0 posted a video of the incident on Oct 21, showing a bus driving off with its back door left open.

"Just another Tuesday," the accompanying caption read. "The silence was so loud."

Netizens amused and upset

"Where is the safety?" one commenter asked. "Imagine a toddler run and fell out?"

"Don't need to worry about missing your stop," another joked, while others wondered what would happen if it started raining.

Others questioned the commuter's response. "Got time to record but no time to tell driver?" one user remarked.

When the video was reposted on Reddit, netizens also chided the user for filming the incident instead of seeking help.

Some were more understanding of the mishap, with one netizen explaining: "Happens a lot during mass loading at bus interchanges."
