Artist quit uni to draw full-time. Her stunning art pieces now sell for $57,000

If you're wondering if that's Kanye West's face on a 100 dollar bill, yes, yes it is.

While the thought in itself is pretty alarming, you've got to admit that's a pretty stunning drawing.

Australian artist Cj Hendry replaced inventor Benjamin Franklin's face with the American rapper's for her hyper-realistic crumpled US note pen drawing.

The 26-year old presented her drawing to the man himself at his show in Brisbane on Monday night, reported Mashable.

The artist has come a long way in a very short span of time.

She dropped out of university and quit her job two years ago to devote her time to drawing.

Mashable reported her as saying: "I made a deal with myself. If I didn't sell anything in 365 days, I would re-enroll in university and go back to what I was doing."

"Luckily, after a couple of months I got my first major sale and there was no way I would ever set foot in a university campus again," she said.

The Daily Telegraph reported that Hendry has no art training, and transfers her subject matter onto paper by patiently layering her pen marks.

Her larger drawings take up to 200 hours to complete and sell for up to A$50,000 (S$57,000).

Here are some of her beautiful works of art.
