Beijing police confirm Jackie Chan's son arrested for marijuana possession
Beijing police confirmed Monday (Aug 18) that Jaycee Chan has been arrested for possession of marijuana last Thursday (Aug 14).
The 31-year-old singer-actor is the son of Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan.
According to The Telegraph, police said they found 3.5 ounces (99 grams) of the drug at the younger Chan's Beijing house.
They said he had also tested positive for the drug.
Police also confirmed that Chan's friend, Taiwanese actor Kai Ko Chen-Tung, had also been arrested.
According to Apple Daily, Jaycee Chan had allowed others to take the drug at his house.
A man, whose name was only given as Mr Song, was also arrested for dealing the drugs found at Jaycee Chan's house.
The news will be a big blow for the elder Chan, who, five years ago, was named a "Narcotics Control Ambassador" for the Chinese police.
