Blogger Roy Ngerng was found guilty on Friday of defaming Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in a blog post.
High Court Judge Lee Seiu Kin said that Ngerng's May 15 post gave the impression that Mr Lee was criminally misappropriating Central Provident Fund monies.
The post compared Mr Lee to the City Harvest Church leaders on trial for allegedly misusing $50 million of church funds through sham bonds.
Ngerng was ordered to cease publishing any allegations of Mr Lee misappropriating CPF monies.
Damages will be assessed at a later date.
