Can you run faster than the MRT? These four guys tried to race the train from Little India to Farrer Park MRT
The MRT in Singapore, though plagued with occasional breakdowns, is known for its speed.
It usually doesn't take more than a few minutes to go from one station to the next - if there is no trouble.
These four guys tried to outrun a train by running a 'relay' from Little India station to Farrer Park station, which is one stop away.
Basically, the first runner (below) gets out at Little India MRT, and the fourth runner has to catch that same train at Farrer Park - one stop away - and enter the same carriage.
The second runner (below) eagerly awaiting the baton.
Almost there!
Now it's up to the fourth runner (below) to catch the same train that the first guy alighted from.
Seems impossible right? But these guys did it and it's jaw-droppingly amazing.
It's knuckle-biting rooting for the runners, as they captured all of this on a Go-Pro camera.
The video directs viewers to the ASICS City Relay Run. There's not much information on the site though the run is billed as Singapore's newest running event.
Whatever it is, this video will certainly make me think twice about not running down the escalator when my train has arrived.
