A 52-year-old cement truck driver was taken to hospital after his truck skidded and overturned in Chinatown, spilling cement onto the pavement.
The accident took place at around 5pm on July 19 in Eu Tong Sen Street, in front of People's Park Centre.
Ms Ma, 22, told Shin Min Daily News that she saw an ambulance and a fire engine at the scene, while workers were cleaning up the pavement.
When a Shin Min reporter arrived on the scene, the cement truck was damaged, with a cracked windshield, but the driver was not present. There also appeared to be bicycle tracks on the spilled cement.
An employee at a store nearby said that a loud noise was heard at the time of the incident, and many passers-by stopped to watch.
Another employee of a nearby store, Gloria, 51, said that the driver looked terrified and was stuck in his seat, afraid to move.
She said that her 30-year-old son was visiting her at the time, and hurriedly left to help the driver out of the truck with a few passers-by.
"The driver looked frightened, and he walked out by himself later, limping."

A police spokesman said that a cement truck is believed to have skidded and overturned. The 52-year-old male driver was taken to hospital conscious and is assisting police with their investigations.
The driver was sent to the Singapore General Hospital, according to the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
