Chinese official suspended for watching pornography at work
A government official in China was suspended from his job after a local newspaper reported that he watched pornographic videos at work, authorities said on Sunday (March 15).
The county government of Huining said it decided to suspend the deputy head of the local transport bureau after Western Economic Daily reported that the man watched pornographic movies during work time.
The reporters witnessed him doing so during an undercover investigation at the local government department.
The official begged the reporters not to release the news, the newspaper wrote in its report on Saturday (March 14).
According to the report, over 200 porn movies were found on the official’s hard disk.
The county government told Xinhua that the decision was made after a preliminary investigation by the local discipline watchdog.
