Did couple fall off cliff while trying to take a selfie?
A Polish couple tragically fell to their deaths on Saturday (Aug 9) when they were apparently trying to snap a selfie at the edge of a cliff in Portugal, police investigators say.
The married couple were travelling around Cabo de Roca with their two children when they decided to pose for the photo past the safety barrier.
According to the Polish news, the children, aged five and six, witnessed their parents fall.
Local authorities recovered the two bodies from the bottom of the cliff on Sunday after bad weather hampered operations on Saturday.
It is estimated that they would have plunged about 80m.
The children have been brought into custody and are receiving psychiatric care while waiting to be reunited with other family members.
