In less than a fortnight since the prosecution and private plaintiffs formally accused Mitchell Ong of murdering Ms Audrey Fang in Spain in April 2024, La Opinion de Murcia reported that DNA from two men was found on the victim's underwear and thigh.

Ms Fang had travelled to Spain on April 4 alone. She was scheduled to return to Singapore at 7am on April 12 but was nowhere in sight.

Ms Fang's body was found in Alicante just before 8am on April 10, with more than 30 stab wounds. Ong, also a Singaporean, is suspected of killing her.

Analysis of samples showed that the DNA came from two different men, reported the Spanish news outlet, citing sources close to the case.

"No traces of semen were detected" in any of the samples.

Further tests will be carried out to determine if one of the DNA samples matches Ong's.

Ong has maintained he was innocent since the start of the legal proceedings.

The finding of DNA from two different males opens up the possibility that there are others who could have been involved in Ms Fang's death.
