A young doctor and a nurse who was 5-months pregnant was beaten up by relatives of a patient in China's Hunan Province.

Local media reported that family members were unhappy with the emergency treatment of the patient who had lung cancer. A woman who was identified only by her surname, Ouyang, has since been arrested for her role in leading the family to assault the 29-year-old doctor and pregnant nurse. She allegedly also forced the doctor to kneel before the dead patient's body.

The attack took place in the early hours last Monday and left the doctor with a concussion and bruises, while the nurse reported signs of a potential miscarriage.
