Driver mows down Penang woman, kills her after arguing over rubbish
She lost her life over rubbish.
A 47-year-old Penang woman was mowed down and killed after she got into an argument with a car driver over dumping rubbish.
Lee Seok Pheng and her husband, 57, had accused the driver, 53, of throwing rubbish near their house, newspaper The Star said.
The incident occurred at the parking lot of an apartment block in the early hours of Friday morning.
The driver allegedly tried to mow down Lee and her husband after the confrontation.
Witnesses overpowered driver
Lee fell to the ground and was run over while her husband managed to evade the car.
The driver tried to flee the scene but was overpowered by several witnesses at the site.
Lee was pronounced dead at the Penang Hospital.
