However, the names of the passengers list has not been officially released so there is no way that the post can be verified at this moment.

Flight MH17 crashed after it was shot down over eastern Ukraine by militants on Thursday (July 17), killing all 295 people onboard.

The Mail Online reported that Cor Pan listed himself as living in North Holland.

It is believed that Cor Pan boarded the flight with his girlfriend Neeltje Tol.

After making a joke referencing the ill fated MH370 flight, many of his friends wished him to have a good trip.

It was only after news got out that the MH17 was downed at the Russia-Ukraine border that his friends on posted their grief on the Facebook page.
