Eight dead after bus overturns and catches fire in Ipoh
Tragedy struck when a tour bus carrying passengers overturned on an expressway in Perak early this morning (Jan 15).
Eight people died while 21 were injured in the accident.
Only two managed to escaped unhurt, The Star Online reported.
The accident occurred on KM326 of the North-South expressway in the town of Tapah, Perak.
The bus, belonging to LBS Travel and Tours, was making its way to Genting Highlands.
It is believed that the bus struck a tyre on the road, causing the driver to lose control.
It then collided with a car before overturning and bursting into flames.
The driver was among those who died in the accident.
The injured were sent to Tapah Hospital.
