Feasting and exercising: Here's how your MPs celebrated Chinese New Year

This article is more than 12 months old

Like many in Singapore, our Members of Parliament spent Chinese New Year sharing meals with their loved ones.

And just like other Singaporeans, they too shared what they ate on social media.

We start with selfie king, Mr Baey Yam Keng, MP for Tampines GRC.

And if that wasn't enough, he posted a photo of a huge spread of the reunion dinner at his in-laws' place.

Mum's food is always the best. Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Lawrence Wong posted a photo of this scrumptious homemade meal on Facebook, praising his mother's culinary skills.

And if you're wondering what Minister for Manpower Tan Chuan-Jin was up to ... probably munching on bak kwa, if his Instagram post is any indication.

While Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong did not post a photo of his meals, he showed that he was recuperating well from his prostate removal surgery.

He posted a photo on Facebook of his Ang Mo Kio GRC and Sengkang-West SMC Team who came over for a Chinese New Year gathering.

And what do you do after all that feasting? Go to the gym, of course.

MPs Baey Yam Keng and Teo Ser Luck led the way - and they have photos to prove it.

Mr Baey posted a selfie taken after his run - in a pose that his female fans will appreciate.

Meanwhile, if you're wondering how trained muscles would help in parliament, Mr Teo has the answer.

In a series of hilarious hashtags, he included this: #haveuseneedtocarrydocuments.

So now you know.
