FMFA concert organisers offers refund

The organisers of Future Music Festival Asia have conceded that they will have to cancel the event scheduled to be held on March 13 and 14.

Livescape Singapore said full ticket refunds will be made to all who had bought tickets to the two-day event. Details of how ticket holders can get a refund will be made known on Monday (March 9) evening. Anyone with queries can e-mail them at

The organisers also said: "We are also aware of the many fans overseas that have made travel arrangements into Singapore for the festival. We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience you have been put through."

The police in Singapore had twice turned down applications by Livescape to hold the event here, citing "serious concerns with potential drug abuse at the event".

On March 3, the Home Affairs Minister also rejected their appeal to get a public entertainment licence.

Last year's event in Kuala Lumpur resulted in six Malaysian fans dying from suspected drug overdose.
