GALLERY: Stunning images from Nat Geo's 2014 photo contest

There's no other photography competition like the annual Photo Contest organised by National Geographic.

It sees thousands of entries every year by amateur and professional photographers from around the world, all capturing scenes that involve people, places or nature.

The winner of the contest receives US$10,000 (S$12,700) and a trip to Washington, DC to participate in the annual National Geographic Photography Seminar in January 2015.
