Girl, 17, arrested for allegedly cutting another girl with a knife in Woodlands

Two girls, aged 17 and 18, apparently got into a fight at about 12.30am on April 20.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the younger girl had a knife on her in the incident that took place in the vicinity of Block 573 Woodlands Drive 16.

The 17-year-old allegedly cut the older girl with the knife and was arrested.

A resident said he saw a police car at the foot of the HDB block in the early hours of the morning, but he was unsure what was going on at the time.

"I saw the police searching for something downstairs, near the rubbish chute," he said.

A Xiaohongshu user shared two photos showing a police car parked at the foot of an HDB block. The hatch to a nearby rubbish chute was open and an individual was seen rummaging through the contents of the rubbish bin.

The police said an 18-year-old female was taken to hospital. A 17-year-old female was arrested for intentionally causing hurt with a dangerous weapon.

Police investigations are ongoing.
