Good news! You can disable the double blue ticks feature on WhatsApp
If you were freaking out over WhatsApp's latest feature - the double blue ticks - you can now breathe easy.
Here's the good news: You can soon remove it.
The company will be releasing an update to the application, allowing you to choose whether you want others to be notified when you read their messages.
So for those out there who don't want people to know whether you're ignoring them, well, keep calm and carry on.
According to news site TNW, this feature will only be available on Android systems via the WhatsApp website for the time being. Bummer.
The read receipts feature caused a mini panic online when it was released earlier this month, with many bemoaning the loss of privacy and the increased pressure to reply.
We assume this latest feature is in response to those concerns.
The only catch? You won't be able to see when others read your messages either.
But for a bit of privacy, we say it's well worth it.
