Grieving dad asks strangers to help edit photo of his baby daughter
Nathen Steffel never expected the kind of responses he received when he wrote a post on Reddit.
Last Thursday, his six-week-old daughter Sophia died after developing a tumour on her liver.
She was on the waiting list for treatment when complications caused her to lose her battle.
Unfortunately for Steffel, he was never able to snap a picture of Sophia without all the tubes in her that were attached to the machines keeping her alive.
He badly wanted to remember his daughter without the medical equipment so he posted on Reddit, a social news website, to ask if anybody could help edit them out.

Steffel told Today Parents that the response he received was overwhelming.
Reddit users started submitting their edited version of the picture to Steffel and he soon found himself with a whole new set of beautiful pictures and drawings of his beautiful baby girl.
Steffel told Buzzfeed: "I just wanted to reach out to get at least one quality picture. I was amazed how many people responded. We have so many nice pictures now.”
“We are going to hang up a few of our favourite photos and drawings.
"It helped knowing that others cared enough to stop whatever they were doing in their own lives to either send me a picture or just their condolences."
He stayed up until 3am that night to try to respond to each and every one who either sent a photo back or simply shared a similar experience with him.
“It’s just awesome that this story and her pictures have touched so many people.”
