Hero dog award goes to cat

Tara, a seven-year-old female cat, was presented with the 33rd Annual National Hero Dog Award by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals - Los Angeles (SPCALA) on Friday.
In May last year, Tara became a YouTube sensation with the video 'My Cat Saved My Son'.
It showed the cat fighting off a neighbour's dog that attacked her owner's son Jeremy in the driveway of their California home.
The incident prompted the SPCALA to break with tradition and present the award to a cat.
