Hoarder's Ang Mo Kio flat so full, its door cannot close

A hoarder living in a flat at 456 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 has filled his flat with so many items that its door cannot be closed.

The flat's contents have also spilled into the corridor, which the Town Council has helped to clear on multiple occasions.

A neighbour told Shin Min Daily News that the hoarding situation has been going on for about a decade.

"There is a man in his 70s living in the unit, and we occasionally say hello," said Mr Lin, 59.

He explained that he was worried about fire hazard as his wife is in a wheelchair.

"My wife has to use a wheelchair. What if there were a fire?

"I also worry there would be termites."

Another neighbour told the Chinese daily: "As long as things are not piled up in front of my house, I can accept it.

"As for the smell, I think it's okay."
