Indonesian Police out to stop obscene panda pyjamas

This article is more than 12 months old

Indonesian police have put out an appeal on Facebook for the public to alert them should they spot anyone selling children's pyjamas that feature pandas.

The pink pyjamas seem innocent enough, until on closer inspection the panda icons can be seen to be mating.

The post made on Wednesday appeals for residents to be wary of the "obscene shirts" and to alert police should they see the indecent clothing on sale.

But it has also been noticed that the picture used bears the 9GAG.com label, a humour site that deals in doctored images and memes.

Daily Mail also suggests the image may be over 18 months old.

The post is still on the Police Facebook site.
