Joo Chiat car collision leaves woman injured, male driver assisting in investigation
A female shop assistant told Shin Min she heard a "loud bang".
A collision between two cars on Joo Chiat Road on Aug 11 left a 31-year-old female passenger injured, Shin Min Daily News reported.
A male driver, 55, is assisting police with investigations.
Photos from the scene show a white Mitsubishi with its hood lifted and damage to the left front side. Its rear bumper has also detached, leaving debris scattered on the road.
"Two cars were driving on the main road and were probably involved in a rear-end collision when a loud bang was heard," a shop assistant told Shin Min.
She added that after the accident, she saw that the female passenger was injured, and a man collapsed after exiting a car.
Police confirmed that they had received a report of an accident involving two vehicles that occurred around 3.10pm on Aug 11.
The female passenger was transported to KK Women's and Children's Hospital conscious, while the male driver is now assisting police with investigations.
