The 38-year-old victim was found dead in a hotel room.
A 41-year-old man has been arrested after he told the police that he had killed his wife at Capri by Fraser China Square, a hotel located along South Bridge Road in Chinatown.
The incident occurred on Oct 24. The New Paper understands that the 38-year-old victim and the suspect, both Indonesian nationals, were husband and wife.
The suspect surrendered himself at Bukit Merah East Neighbourhood Police Centre, about a kilometre from the hotel, at around 7.40am.

Police cars seen at hotel
When TNP arrived at the scene at around 11.30am, there did not appear to be anything unusual, and guests were seen entering and leaving.
At around 12pm, a police car and van exited the carpark near the hotel.
At 1.45pm, police were seen loading evidence from the site into a white van.

Guests staying on the fifth and 14th floors whom TNP spoke to said they were unaware of the incident. They noted that one of the lifts was closed for maintenance.
A security guard at 18 Cross, the shopping mall opposite the hotel, said he saw police cars arriving sometime before 8am.
Hotel employees declined to comment.
