Man arrested for molesting woman on bus to Ang Mo Kio
A 59-year-old man has been arrested for molesting a woman while on board a bus heading to Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange.
The incident happened in November last year, stated a police press release on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old victim made a police report on Nov 21 at about 3.50pm.
Police officers conducted ground enquires and viewed footage from closed-circuit television cameras.
They managed to establish the identity of the man and arrested him on Tuesday (Jan 6).
The suspect will be charged in court on Thursday (Jan 8) for Outrage of Modesty.
If found guilty of the offence, he can be jailed for up to two years and caned.
Police advise victims of such crimes to call '999' immediately or inform the bus captain of the incident or seek help from other commuters immediately to report the crime.
