Man attacks house in KL suburb allegedly on behalf of S'pore-based loan shark
Malaysian MP Lim Lip Eng on April 14 shared on Facebook footage of a man throwing a Molotov cocktail into a house's compound.
Mr Lim, who has been an MP for Kepong since 2018, wrote: "The assailant is believed to be a local runner acting on behalf of a Singapore-based loan shark."
Kepong is a suburb of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
The former tenant of the affected house in Kepong Baru had complained to Mr Lim about the attack.
The loan shark runner, who sent her the footage of himself throwing the Molotov cocktail, allegedly threatened to harass her every day if she did not pay up.
There was no indication when the incident took place and if anyone was injured in the attack.
In urging the authorities to take swift action, Mr Lim wrote: "Kuala Lumpur must not become a playground for gangsters or cross-border loan shark syndicates."
