Man found dead in Boon Lay flat; man believed to be victim's brother arrested
A 56-year-old man was found dead in a Boon Lay flat on March 11, in what is believed to be a family dispute that turned fatal.
A 58-year-old man, who lived with the deceased, has been arrested in connection with the case.
The incident took place in a Housing Board unit on the 11th storey of Block 187 Boon Lay Avenue.
Police said they were alerted to the case at 11.35am.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the man's body inside the unit.
A man believed to be his brother was arrested for his suspected involvement.
Police confirmed that both men knew each other.
The body was removed from the flat at around 5.30pm.

Neighbours described the duo as reclusive, often keeping to themselves and rarely interacting with others.
One resident, who declined to be named, said occasional shouting could be heard from the unit, but there had been nothing unusual before the incident.
Neighbours also speculated that both brothers could have been facing mental health issues, as they seldom left the flat and usually kept the door locked.
Mr Huang Peibo, a 93-year-old retiree who has lived in the block for 34 years, told Lianhe Zaobao that he would sometimes see the elder brother and a woman when taking the lift.
"Whenever I greeted them, they would either just nod or ignore me. Their father used to live with them more than 10 years ago, but I haven't seen him in a long time."
Another neighbour, Ms Nishian, 37, said she had only seen the two brothers but often heard a woman coughing inside their flat.
She described the elder brother as tall, bespectacled and balding, while the younger brother was smaller and skinny.
"Sometimes at night, I could hear the older brother shouting, but I wasn't sure if they were arguing," she said.
Police were later seen removing several bags of evidence from the flat, including what appeared to be pillows or bedding.
The Chinese daily reported that the victim was believed to have died from asphyxiation.
Police investigations are ongoing, and the cause of death has yet to be officially confirmed.
