Man allegedly headbutts police officer during arrest
Just after 4am on March 24, the police were alerted to a case of dispute at Block 569A Champions Way.
When officers from Woodlands Police Division were attending to the incident, a man allegedly charged towards an officer and headbutted the officer during the arrest.
The 38-year-old was arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from the discharge of his duty.
He will be charged in court on March 25 for voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from the discharge of his duty.
"The police have zero tolerance towards such acts of violence towards police officers or public servants who are carrying out their duties," the Singapore Police Force said in a statement.
The man sustained minor injuries and was conscious when taken to hospital.
