Man impersonates delivery rider, steals order from chicken rice stall
The fowl play was caught on camera.
A man pretending to be a delivery rider was caught on camera stealing a delivery order from a chicken rice stall, prompting the owners to make a police report.
The incident occurred around noon on June 28 at OK Chicken Rice & Humfull Laksa, located at Block 51 Havelock Road.
The surveillance footage uploaded on OK Chicken Rice's Facebook page shows a man dressed in black and wearing a safety helmet walking around a table with delivery orders ready for collection.
The man checks a bag of food on the table before looking at his phone, seemingly pretending to find his order. He walks around the table again, before settling on a bag and walking away with the order.

In its Facebook post, OK Chicken Rice said that such acts cause unhappiness to all parties involved as its staff would need time to resolve the orders, and riders and customers alike would have to wait longer.
"We would like to believe that these actions are merely out of necessity and not malicious or mischievous intent," the business wrote.
"If you're going through a tough time and need a meal, please don't hesitate to reach out - we'll be more than happy to provide you with food."
It added: "If you're looking for work, feel free to contact us as well. We'd love to explore how we can support you with a job opportunity."
The chicken rice chain ended the post by sharing that a police report has been made.
When Shin Min Daily News visited the coffee shop stall, an employee told the reporter that the incident occurred during lunch hour when the stall was busy.
"We put the packed delivery orders on the table in front of the stall. At that time, there were 16 packets of food on the table, which were placed in four bags."
He said that as the staff are busy, delivery riders will usually check the orders themselves. "We didn't check at the time until a delivery rider couldn't find his order and came to ask. That was when we realised the food was missing."
The employee revealed that he later looked through the CCTV footage and saw a middle-aged man taking the bag away.
Police have confirmed that a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
