Man jailed 30 months for helping to dispose of body in Whampoa
Forklift driver, Gursharan Singh, 27, who helped his friend get rid of his murdered wife's body was jailed 30 months today.
On Dec 11, 2013, the Indian national helped Harvinder Singh, 35, also an Indian national, move a suitcase containing the body of beautician Jasvinder Kaur, 33.
Harvinder Singh had told him his wife had died after he had hit her during a dispute.
He then stuffed her body into the suitcase.
After Gursharan Singh helped him carry it, the older man threw the suitcase into the Whampoa River before fleeing to Malaysia.
Harvinder Singh is now on Interpol's wanted list.
