Man in KL stabs ex-girlfriend’s new lover after argument

They bumped into each other at an office in Jalan Haji Hussein, Kuala Lumpur.

The 38-year-old woman was with her boyfriend, 39 and the suspect was with a woman.

The couple and the suspect, who is in his late ‘40s, had an heated argument in the office, the New Straits Times reported.

It is not known what the argument was about.

Several office staff had to intervene to separate them.

City police Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Zainuddin Ahmad said the suspect waited for the lovers outside the office.

Rammed the car

Said SAC Zainuddin: “Initial investigations revealed that when the couple were leaving on a motorcycle, the suspect rammed his car into the bike. 

“The suspect then approached the couple, and stabbed the boyfriend in his left chest using a sharp weapon.”

The incident attracted a large crowd.

A witness, who declined to be named, said the suspect panicked upon seeing the crowd and fled on foot leaving his car and a woman, who is believed to be his wife.

Police reached the scene of the crime, followed by an ambulance.

The victim was taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital where he is reported to be in a stable condition.
