Man with Uzi gun and drugs caught after high-speed chase in Kedah

A suspected drug pusher was caught with an Uzi machine gun, a few hundred bullets and eight packets of syabu, but not before he led Kedah police on a high-speed chase, reported The Star.

According to New Straits Times, patrol officers had stopped the man in his blue Proton Wira Friday night because he was driving in a "suspicious manner".

He tried to give them the slip but the police gave chase.

"The suspect drove off and knocked into two cars. He tried to escape but the police fired several shots puncturing his tyres forcing him to stop.

"He was then arrested and brought to the Kuala Muda district police headquarters," a source told New Straits Times.
